Born in Caracas, Venezuela, of parents from Venezuelan Andeans who never approved Art as a profession. In spite of that, I studied Advertising Drawings in a private Academy of Art; Elementos de Expresión, in the Cristobal Rojas, Art School, and Constructive Art; with Uruguayan Master, Hugo Sartore, in Caracas, Venezuela.
I did not paint for more than 20 years, since I worked during this time as a secretary at the main oil company in the country. During 1996, little by little, I started to Paint again. Now, after my early retired, I enjoy expressing myself through the watercolor medium. I changed to this medium after I broke out with oil and acrylic. I quickly fell in love with watercolors because they allowed me more freedom to express my feelings. Originally self-taught in this technic, I have improved my skills with Bobby Garrison, an American Artist friend of mine living in Bastrop, Texas. Also by studying with well known Venezuelan watercolorists such as Dionisio Barrera, Martha De La Valle and Erik Feely.
I was an active member of the Venezuelan Watercolorist Association (AVA) untill 2001; Sustaining member of the American Watercolor Association (AWA).
Have exhibited in solo and collective shows in Caracas and United States of America .
Most of my art is in private collections in Venezuela and in the United States.
