| Worked full time in an engineers drawing office from the age of 19. Painted expressionistic and symbolist narrative type pictures of my own poetry in my spare time, using oil colour on canvas.When I was made redundant from work 15 years later I decided that there was no point continuing in engineering.I wanted to get a degree in fine art painting. I first did a foundation course in general art and design at Harrogate Art School in Yorkshire, then I did a painting degree course Loughborough University in Leicestershire. I still write poetry and paint symbolist type pictures.I exhibit my paintings in local art galleries and self publish a book of my poems and paintings together. |
