The lens is the mythological eye with which I explore the mystical nature of Nature. I play with the gods by recognizing them in people, in ideas, and places. In my work I take the loamy substance of the human soul and form ideas of death and birth as being continuously experienced through spiritual enlightenment. The aboriginal symbols of nature are my props, the landscape my theatre.

The images are captured digitally. I light with a myriad of illumination devices including mirrors, a hosemaster, studio strobes, and natural light. In post production I finish the images, adding or refining the effects on Macintosh computers. I print with Ultrachrome inks on watercolor papers, Japanese papers, and an eclectic variety of hand produced papers. My latest work involves prints organically collaged with mixed media then returned to the machine via a flatbed scanner and output as Ultrachrome prints.
