·Description of Art:
·My paintings are a combination of modern art with traditional Iranian motives and colors.
I enjoy using bright colors such as vermilion reds with crimson, ultramarine blue or yellow and violet. Using golden and silver color goes to the time of miniatures, which used to show sun and water.
Another aspect is the motives such as circles, stars and Bote Jegheh, which is an abstract from of Shiraz Cyprus trees in wind. This form is used in fabric or as any other decorative in Iranian culture.
The other characteristic of my works is using calligraphy. Some time it is used as collage and sometimes is written by me .I like Iranian calligraphy and I enjoy using famous poems by Hafez and Molana in a form of Nasti-Alligh.
Finally in my paintings you can see Fish, Pomegranates or Rose a lot. They have got special meanings in Iranian culture. For example Red Fish is a symbol of New Year, activities and happiness. Pomegranate is a fruit that has been sent from heaven by God and rose flower is a symbol of love.
