After art school and university, Gary moved on to design and produced award winning engineering drafting and design 'CAD' software.
Early in the new millennium, after the PC renaissance ebbed, he returned to his artistic roots. He brought the drafting and design software with him. This became an electronic sketch pad for exploring for new and redefining old optical illusions.
Skilled use of these computer based tools allowed the definition and simplification of optical illusions to their basic forms. The Artful Illusions project was born.
