| Born in France, Helene Bied moved to Santa Cruz (California) in 1993. She started painting in the late 1990's while she was still a preschool teacher and was attending graphic and web design classes at Cabrillo College. Her work is mostly oil on canvas with sometime collages of lace or other material. The colors are bright (a lot of blue and yellow!) and the symbols always present. |
