Joanna was born, on the small island of Montserrat, in 1982. At a tender age of just one, she was moved to a neighboring island, Antigua, where she remained until she was 17. She moved in Hollywood, Los Angeles, with the intent to become a special effects make-up artist. But it wasnt long before she realized her heart belonged to her brushes and canvas. So at 18, she moved back to her native land, to pursue her love for art. Her choice in medium, acrylic, was handed down from her mother, Janet Jackson, who is also a proffesional artist, in antigua. Joanna has recently moved to Charleston, SC, where she continues her journey as an artist.
