The artist has worked in numerous traditional art media, such as pencil and pen and ink renderings, stained glass design, as well as more recently, graphic design for web use. This in turn led her to explore the medium of digital art and experimentation with direct scanning of 3-D objects, including both natural (i.e., flora and fauna such as dragonflies, butterflies, the Cicada, etc.) and man-made objects, as well as photocompositing or combinations of all three.
The example shown here is entitled "Wings Moire" and the inspiration came from the wings of a common insect, the Cicada, found in the artist's garden. |
