My background has always been in the visual arts. I began drawing and painting as a child and became a Portrait artist in the early 80's using primarily Pastel, Charcoal, and Acrylic. Portraiture was a great way for me to travel and earn money while visiting Israel, Greece, Yugoslavia, Cyprus, and anywhere else I could make money doing what I loved best: creating and communicating with people. Later on, I pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Concordia University majoring in Interdisciplinary Arts. This experience allowed me to explore Video Art, Installation and Mixed-Media works while exploring traditional media with technology. I also participated in-group exhibitions in Montreal, Quebec and Mexico. Then I pursued a Master’s in Art Education with an emphasis on Digital media. For my Master's thesis, I was the first to produce an interactive CD-ROM called "Going Beyond Chalk to Pixels: The Manipulations of a Technochick". This CD-ROM depicted a virtual studio using Digital media aimed at artists as a means to explore technology for creation. Since then, I have been busy doing freelance work as a Computer Artist, and teaching digital and multimedia applications at various colleges and universities.
