| I grew up in a city called Tyler, a conservative town in East Texas with not much in the way of an 'art culture'. My exposure to 'contemporary' art didn't begin until I entered college. I received an Associate in Arts Degree from Tyler Junoir College in 1991, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from The University of Texas at Tyler in 1994. I then spent three years in the graduate program of the School of Visual Arts at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas working towards a Master of Fine Arts Degree.
