|Received a liberal arts BA with a major in psychology from Maryville College, Maryville, TN, in 1990. Most of the time since then has been devoted to giving a good start to the lives of my three children. For the last year I've put more time into my photography and digital art, which has been a bit of a rebirth, helping to end a very long frustration with creative endeavors. Not since winning a school-wide Halloween art contest in the first grade have I been satisfied with my efforts. Working almost exclusively from my own photos I use photo editing software to make "real" the intuitive reveries I experience when first taking the photo. Nature is my most common subject because of the area where I live, but I also like to work with faces and forms. Basically, I like to go beyond the obvious to reveal the obscure beauty all around us.
