Telmo Mota, born in 1977 Oporto region, Portugal. Bachelor degree in Artistic Drawing at ESAP (Superior Art School of Oporto), between 1995 and 1998. in Fine Arts - Sculpture at Fine Arts School of the University of Porto (FBAUP),between 1999 and 2004.
The sculpture work envolves raw materials (stone) taken from nature and embedded into smooth and cosy woodwork. The main concept focus the fusion between two materials, the inorganic stone and the organic wood, joined together to create a work that intends to be neither alive or dead, but that invites to contemplation. A celebration of cosmic balance. |
