Charles Davis is a painter and printmaker living in Memphis, Tennessee. He holds a MFA degree in painting from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida, 1975, and a BFA Degree in Painting and Printmaking from the Kansas City Art Institute in Kansas City, Missouri, 1971.
He has taught a variety of art courses at the college level since 1975. From 1975 through 1986, he taught at Shelby State Community College in Memphis, Tennessee and from 1986 through the present he has taught at Mississipopi Valley State University in Itta Bena, Mississippi. Additionally, over the years he has worked extensively on community based arts projects involving children in small towns and inner city neighborhoods.
