| My interest in art goes back to my younger days as a child. I started out tracing with pencil, things of interest to me, and graduated to using my own imagination as I grew. I took all the steps I imagine every artist takes, trying every media and finding my own nitch through the years. While I love to paint, using unusual objets together to complete a piece is my favorite media. Most of the art I complete today consists of various objets that I bring together to form a piece of art. I have used various materials such as old ashrays, old magazine ads, things people throw away everyday. The piece I have on display here is a large piece which I have had the pleasure of displaying in this springs issue of Direct Art Magazine. Of course, the usual gallery shows, and sales are always a favorite. At the end of the day, I am another self taught, half starving artist! |
