I have been painting and drawing [for friends and family] for as long as I can remember. I am entirely self-taught and have no professional links with the art community whatsoever.
I am currently exploring the possibilities of using my computer [Mac] as a tool for creating impressionist paintings of traditional subjects featuring the effects of light & colour. The prime criterea of this experiment is that all of these 'works' are required to be hand-painted directly onto a blank screen [canvas] thereby disregarding the need for image scanning or photo manipulation. As a consequence of this pre-requisite I soon discovered the creative flexibility of a Wacom tablet hooked to suitable software... thus empowered, I embark upon my journey to seek a career as a digital painter. |
