|julie rasmussen||Biography: The paintings of Julie L Rasmussen, a Southern Californian native, are a reflection of clear skies, sunny days and good times. Her choice of color and subtle design bring life to any wall, anywhere.
Rasmussen’s main influences are the modern artists in and around Los Angeles. "There is such a great group of talent in Los Angeles. I am so pleased to be a part of such a marvelous group of people and all the positive energy inspires me to paint everyday."
Rasmussen has shown in numerous galleries and events in the Los Angeles and San Francisco area.
Her works can also be purchased through various home furnishing stores in San Diego, Los Angeles & San Francisco.
In her spare time, Julie volunteers to teach children arts and crafts. She has also assisted in the painting of murals throughout the Los Angeles area on community centers, neglected buildings and public schools. Her most notable mural was one she did along with 20 other artists with the canvas being the world famous Hollywood Blvd. This mural was of the stunning Audrey Hepburn, and its size, bigger than a football field, won Julie and her fellow artists a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as ‘The World’s Largest Chalk Mural.’
