|larry darnell||Biography: California Landscape Art, Western Landscapes including Mountain Panoramas and Panoramic Landscapes from my original photographs, digitally stitched and manipulated in photoshop.
Using photography as the basis for my subjects, my intent is to create painterly presentations on canvas, watercolor paper and other media commonly used for fine art.
As an artist, I have always considered the camera as a primary tool. With the advent of pc technology, the opportunity to bring the tools of the darkroom and the printing press to the desktop has offered artists a huge amount of flexibility and control in expression.
After 25 years in the television and motion picture industries, I chose to pursue a career in fine arts, returning to early training and work in fine arts: Carnegie Mellon University, Graphic Design and a short stint teaching art at the secondary level at Solebury School in Pennsylvania.
