Dana Ellyn Kaufman |
| Biography: I paint many self-portraits because they help me to understand and cope with my changing moods and emotions. My series of nude paintings address my occasional feelings of vulnerability and helplessness.
My urban photographs and drawings have helped me deal with the threat of terror and destruction I face by living in Washington DC. They also embrace the diversity of urban life.
Most recently, my work has focused on current events. With all the turmoil around the world, I feel it is my responsibiliy, as an artist, to document the events and my reactions through my paintings. Country: USA Birthyear: 1971 Galleries: October 2003: Cafe Luna, Washington DC - Solo Show
