Karen Carasik Biography: Karen Carasik is a mixed media artist, painter, sculptor and papermaker. Through a vibrant and diverse chromatic palate, her large paintings are immediately engaging. She has developed an analytical expressionistic style that communicates about the human condition and issues of socio political concerns. She received grants and awards for her series “A Journey to Where…The Refugee Experience”. Summer residencies at the Art Institute of Chicago’s Oxbow allowed her to experiment and evolve her art. Her art studio is at COMMA in Orlando. She is an arts advocate and the National South Eastern Vice President of Women’s Caucus for Art.
