| Biography: The Artist
William Kilborn known to his readers as BILLTHE BANDMAN since 1981,has over 100 articles published about toy soldier bands (his collection of over 400 bands is amongst the world's largest) his expertise in displaying these miniature figures as real bands in rank and file is world renown as well as his historic perspective on many British, Canadian & US military and nonmilitary units.
Bill has now turned his love for musical instruments, jazz and musicians into ART by returning to his roots as an art school graduate from 1960. Starting in the summer of 2005 he has studied the use acrylic media and combined it with his former professional background of drawing as a professor of interior design.

The Originals
Bill's first is a series of musical jazz art, done on illustration board 15"w. x 20"l. using acrylic paint, pen and ink or marker and some watercolor. Each piece is framed in an overall size of 18"w. x 22"l. with a finished opening of 10-1/2"w. x 13-1/2"l . The frame is black plastic simulating wood with a white matt framed inside with a 1/4" black plastic beading, it is glazed but I recommend its removal for shipping. All originals are on sale as noted for $400.00 US. each.
