kevin larmee Biography: Kevin Larmee used to work in New York City. He was associated with the "East Village" art movement of the mid 1980's. He became known by glueing large paintings on public walls and in the street. He now lives in Chicago, Il. where he paints and teaches art. His figurative paintings are narrative and expressive that reflect the artist's world. His paintings have been described as being both like Matisse and Van Gogh, as being both innocent, and worldly. In truth, his paintings are unlike any others, but reflect the artist's personal vision. In an era where abstract paintings are the decorator's choice for corporate lobbies, Kevin Larmee continues to and only paints in figurative mode. His paintings reflect the contemporary world.
