Charles Summers
| Biography: Charles Summers is a self-taught painter who was born in London in 1945. He lived in Montego Bay, Jamaica from 1954 - 1956. In 1956 he returned to England to attend Cornwall College and Continue his education but it wasn't until 1972 that he started painting seriously.
Charles Summers is obsessed by the natural world and living in Cornwall has many rewards to an artist intrigued by natures charm.
He has been on expeditions to Malaysia, North Borneo and Sarawak 1979-1980, Java 1984, Sulawesi, Indonesia 1986, Colombia, 1989 and Panama, Dominica, Belize and costa Rica 1990.
He has received numerous awards, including silver medal, 1975, 2 gold medals 1977 and 1978 from the Royal Horticultural Society. Since 1978 he has been exhibiting regularly.
