David Stacey
 | Biography: David Stacey was born in Sydney in 1961. Educated at Epping Boys High, he went on to study art for a short time at Meadow Bank Art School.
David has always felt a deep connection to the natural world, which has nurtured a lifelong pursuit in the understanding and exploration of nature. This appreciation of the natural world was first developed in the Blue Mountains surrounding Sydney. David now lives and works in the rainforests of North Queensland and his work is an effort to capture the mood and spirit of this now threatened wilderness.
His work encompasses a number of mediums including water based acrylic paints and pen and ink. Regardless of the medium used, David tries to make his work tangible for all to share. The paper and linen used in his work is of the highest quality where longevity and permanence are part of the final work.
David has exhibited in Queensland and Japan and is represented in National and International private collections.
