Glen McDonall
 | Biography: Glen McDonall started his professional career quite by chance. A pro musician from a recently broken up band. Was not a nine to fiver.Sees published cartoon of a family friend. The rest is history. One month later McDonall's first cartoon is published in a major Canadian newspaper(The Edmonton Sun). He's hooked. Since that time over 17 years ago (1985) McDonall has steadily proven he can tackle any style of illustration thrown his way. Since 1994 he has freelanced nearly 1100 cartoons and illustrations to The Edmonton Journal( largest daily in Alberta) alone. Other skills have been developed as well. Serious Illustration for instance.Winner of Album Design of the Year(1990) for a serious pencil illustration announced McDonall had arrived. Portraiture soon followed. McDonall has had the privilege of drawing personal portraits for Joni Mitchell,David Foster,Jann Arden,Ian Tyson,Senator Tommy Banks( winner of the 1980 Montreaux Jazz Festival) to name few. Need an editorial cartoon? McDonall does that. Need a killer caricature? McDonall does that. Need a spot cartoon for that magazine article? McDonall does that. Need a portrait or other serious illustration? McDonall does that. Need an award winning CD/Cassette design? McDonall does that.
