Laura Schoonover
| Biography: Laura Schoonover is a mixed media artist. She creates sculpture, wall hangings and wearable art. Most pieces are formed with either fiber/textile medias and techniques or with metalsmithing medias and techniques or a combination of both. Personal expression is of great importance and is a basic theme that is built upon and becomes enmeshed in Feminist, goddess, historical themes and symbols. Laura Schoonover received a BFA in Fibers/Textiles with a minor in Metalsmithing and Ceramics, from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. Her art work has been shown in juried and non-juried exhibits across the United States since 1986.
