Regina Calton Burchett

Biography: Regina works in a variety of mediums, including pencil, watercolor and pastel. After graduating from Michigan State University, she continued her art studies at LaGuna Gloria Art Museum in Austin and studied pastels with Wanda Gamble, Glenn Whitehead and Cara Reische. She has studied drawing, painting, calligraphy, weaving, stone sculpture, computer art and computer animation. Her favorite medium is pastels, due to both the tactile application and the intensity of the colors. She is past president of the Bastrop Fine Arts Guild in Bastrop, Texas and the Carolina Artist Guild, based in Salisbury, North Carolina. She currently resides near Austin, Texas.
