Biography: I am an American/Swedish artist/illustrator living in Stockholm, Sweden. My origins are New England, USA, and you can guess with French-Canadian ancestry. Stockholm is a beautiful place to live and I have grown to love the 14 islands that make up the city. The oldest island, Old Town (Gamla Stan), fascinates me the most. The city began here in the mid 1200s. My artwork over the last four years has been studies of the island’s architecture. This work grew from an illustrated English map guide to help my guests visit the island. The development of the guide led to the discovery of interesting history and colorful details. It feels special to share what I have discovered with others. The technique used for this artwork is mixed media: a combination of digital art and handwork: sepia pens, colored pencils and watercolor. This technique is similar to monoprints and allows production of a motif in multiples. Country: Sweden Birthyear: 1948 Galleries: Galleri O, Konsthallen, Galleri T Awards: Chosen to be part of the 50th anniversary exhibition for Svenska Tecknare Media: mixed media Style: realistic Subjects: cityscapes
