Elizabeth Arlene Smith
| Biography: Elizabeth was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. She attended H.B.Plant High School and continued her education at the University of South Florida to obtain a B.A. in Fine Arts. Throughout her childhood her main passion was drawing which then expanded to other art mediums such as watercolors and ceramics.
In high school her principle medium was prisma color. During college, Elizabeth began to develop as an artist studying computer animation, which was her main passion, as well as studying printmaking, acrylic painting, watercolors, drawing, and ceramics. In college , Elizabeth wrote and illustrated a children's CD-Rom story book that she knows will be published soon. It was not until after graduating from USF that Elizabeth began her hand at papier mache. Since loving her first papier mache creation, continues working in the medium. Her main inspirations come from everyday life, childhood memories, imagination, and her mother. Many of her works consists of vivid colors, patterning, and intricate detail. Her subjects can range from decoratively painted masks and fish to flowers and suns.

January to March - Goodwill Games art exhibition in Lake Placid, New
York. Elizabeth had 6 pieces displayed in the
1932 & 1980 Lake Placid Winter Olympic Museum Country: USA Birthyear: 1975 Galleries: Currently exhibited in Artsiphartist Gallery in Tampa, Florida. She is in the December 1999 issue of Artsfusion magazine. Elizabeth has been invited to show some of her work at the Winter Goodwill Games in Lake Placid, New York |
