Kenneth Dinkel
 | Biography: Born in New Rochelle, N.Y. in 1957, Kenneth Dinkel spent his early years in
Larchmont, New Rochelle, Rye and finally settling with his family in Armonk, N.Y. in 1969. Ken Graduated Byram Hills High School where he was
a champion swimmer and co/founder of their Swim Team. After two years at Ithaca College setting records in the 50 and 100yd.freestyle events and achieving All State Honors, he went on to establish Mr. Goodstrip, a refinishing company now in its 31st year.
Ken can pinpoint the moment he knew he wanted to become an artist. In 1998
on a trip to Maine, Ken came upon a tall thin man painting a pear in a
Keenebunkport gallery. This man Val McGann, welcomed ken into the art world
with sage advice that proved critical: " once you develop your skill, you
will know you have it after about one hundred works." For the next eight years ken spent every free moment honing and developing his skills as a
artist.
As an artist, growth is essential and nothing excites me more than the
exploration of color, which I experiences in different forms. My work is vivid, showing a great deal of movement. My landscapes, often including water, require much patience but are extremely rewarding, while the abstract work proves an opportunity for me to improvise and be free.
Ken is studying with Alan Reingold, one of Americas who's who of Illustrators and professor at The Parsons School Of Design, in Greenwich Village, N.Y. Alan insists that "Ken is the next cutting edge artist".
Dinkel's paintings have been purchased by private collectors: Ron Howard, Bernie Williams, Dan DiSano C.E.O. Axis Point, Leonard Tannenbaum C.E.O
Fifth Street Capital, Dr. Pablo Diaz Pastor, Bob Keiber Curator, Berkeley
Gallery 3 East 43rd street and many other corporate and private colletors in the United States, Switzerland, Venezuela and Beijing.
Ken had (2)stunning reviews in The International Art Journal, Gallery and Studio Magazine by Top Art Critic and Managing Editor Ed McCormack. June/July/August 2008 and Feb/March 2011
Dinkel had Two solo shows at the Berkeley Gallery. 3 east 43rd street between Madison and Fifth avenues From July 1 - 31, 2008 and November 2 -
March 31, 2010. The later an exclusive Abstract Exhibit for the ribbon cutting ceremony of The New Department of Continuing Education Dedication
at Berkeley College.
