geometry
The struts will be replaced by 1-inch EMT with an outer diameter of 1.16 inches so that the structure can be buried four feet deep

To maintain the geometry for a 85 inch diameter dome add 7 inches to the hole to hole lengths for total cut lengths.

the shorter of the two base ring struts,
5 painted pieces, B's
34.30 inches | 41.30 inches

the longer ones,
10 unpainted pieces, C's
35.05 inches | 42.05 inches
the base ring
connect those 15 struts in a circle with wire using this pattern:
B-C-C B-C-C B-C-C B-C-C B-C-C

15 base struts: 10 C and 5 B

disassembly into 5 pieces, three struts each, joined by wire
the first level
to assemble:
form the V triangles:
At every point where two Cs meet on the foundation ring, connect two additional Cs to form an upward-pointing V triangle

form the B triangles:
Above every B on the foundation ring, construct a triangle with two Cs

connect the top of the Vs to the base with 10 Bs

add the horizontal belt: Connect the tops of these triangles horizontally with 10Cs and 5Bs The Bs go on top of the V triangles.

45 Level One pieces: 30 C and 15 B

disassemble into 5 sections each with 3 horizontals and 6 verticals. 2 C and 1 B horizontal and 4 C and 2 B verticals

the second level
five star/pentagons and five triangles

each star/pentagon has five As for the stars and four Bs for the pentagons

Strut A 29.63 inches

each triangle has one B and two Cs

for a 3/8 dome, the second level is the first level

relevel the stabilization ring
linking the 4x4 segments together using steel structural strapping or corner brackets on the inside edges.
build the thrid level
Form upper triangles: Construct an upward-pointing ring of triangles using alternating sets of Struts B and Struts C.
Cap the third level: Tie the top of this tier together horizontally using a ring of 10 Struts C.
assemble the roof crown
On the ground, build your final roof pentagon out of Struts
45 Level 3 pieces: 30C, 10B and 5A
